Default Rick's S badge installed

Yeah...

So I got some paint safe adhesive remover, and worked the floss, punched out the back pegs, and when all was said and done, you can see where the H left its mark.

It was like, a layer of paint/clearcoat came off with the old badge. New badge is on, and looks fine, but since I have an AP2, the immediate surrounding area looks uneven. (H is bigger than the S)

Anybody have a similar experience. I don't think it bothers me enough to warrant repainting, but it is annoying, for sure...and I WILL notice it. I don't think I can do a good enough job with touchup paint to try that route...

Was there an AP2 size Rick's Badge?

run your fingernail over it and see if you can feel it dip or rise. i remember when i had debadged my wrx it still had ghosting of the original badge that i eventually rid of by some more elbow grease.

It's a dip as it goes to the emblem section :-(

Similiar thing happened to me. Removed the front badge only to see a definite outline of the badge in the paint. Turns out that my front bumper was repainted prior to my ownership and the body shop must have put the badge back on prior to letting the repaint cure properly, so the adhesive pulled some of the paint with it.

Looked everywhere for an AP2 size badge to cover it...no luck, ended up putting the stock H back on.

The S badge definitely isn't coming off. I may go the touch up paint route...

Thankfully it's on the front bumper which gets beat up enough from highway driving...the one on the trunk is perfect.
