Thanks so much for all of your input, everyone. All of this information is really going to help a lot. I'll start to do my research on the various things you have listed and in time, mod my S2K.

FYI, NA bolt on's are known for gains as shown above but are very minimal. I have intake/header/test pipe/exhaust and i really don't notice a difference. Why just 20hp? I am no HP pro but 20 HP wouldn't be very noticeable IMO. I probably make close to that with my setup with a tune?

I would suggest searching here...

In order of purchase:

1. Flashpro (the only tuning system you should buy for an '06) ($695)
2. 60mm test pipe to match your stock exhaust (as long as you don't mind the smell/pollution) ($60)
3. BC Stage 2 cams ($695?)
4. Cold air intake or Mugen replica intake (what I have, you have to cut your hood to fit it) (~$300)

From what I've seen these are the things you'll get the cheapest gains with under $2k. I just took my exhaust off and went back to stock because I couldn't stand the drone but there are plenty of those that make 10 hp or so too. Just make sure you go in somebody's car who has the exhaust before purchasing yourself because everyone here has a different opinion on loudness and drone.

I just didn't think I could get anywhere over 20HP w/o going over $2000 dollars. I am on a budget... If I could afford a supercharger, I'd do it right away.

FlashPro is a must, then a test pipe. Save the rest of your money in case I'm able to get my exhaust on the market.

Flashpro + test pipe. Seriously all you need for solid gains. You can lower vtec to 4500 with the Toda tune they have on it or whatever, and it increasing redline to 8500, you'll gain a ton of mid range from test pipe + lower vtec and have a wider powerband with the 8500 redline. All of this can be had for less than $800. Its only available for 06+ so your lucky you picked up that year model, would have been my first mod if I had the ability to do it.

As for other mods like intake/exhaust, do those if you want, but be warned your really only gonna notice a sound difference with them, especially exhausts. Stick with the stock header right now. BC stage 2 cams are the "new hot thing" right now, but there arent a whole lot of reviews or sets of them going around from what Ive gathered, they may end up being more trouble than what your looking for.

You could also just grab a nitrous kit for about ~$1k. You'll make ~300whp/220wtq at the flip of a switch!

Would a FLashPro benefit my 03 AP1? I already have a test pipe , but it's still in cardboard (not on the car yet).

I'm unsure, but I think FlashPro is only for 06+. You can get a standalone from AEM, Hondata, or Haltech(ithink?), among others. Its going to cost a pretty penny, though.
