Default S2000 Remote Oil Filter (Relocation)

Hi guys,

Ok - I originally posted way back in July! I managed to source a Honda S2000 engine, box, loom, ecu, instrument panel and diff - for the intention of putting into my kitcar (caterham style).

I've now done all the welding and modding required - except for one small problem!!! The sodding steering column catches the oil filter

It looks like I have enough room to relocate the oil filter - but how will this affect the oil cooling? Or, could I move everything and extend the lines to the current oil cooler?

Basically - I'm asking for advice on what products to use for this - e.g. a reputable, decent supplier. In such a high revvy engine - I'm loathe for a cheap part to hose the complete engine!

If anybody knows of a company providing remote oil filter solutions for the S2000 - love to hear - googling didnt return much

Cheers,

Murray

Check out Inline Pro, they are a forum sponsor. A lot of us are running their relocation kit on our turbo s2k's and they work great. High quality parts and fitment.

the most common way is to use sandwich plate, there's tons of them out there, the cheaper one will comes with crappy fitting and questionable quality line.

dont' cheap out on fitting, or you can risk an engine fire

Take a look at this guys. They have everything you need to put a kit together to suit your needs. They even offer non-bypass hi-flow filters.

Here is the kits. http://www.cmfilters.com/remote_filters/re...ilter_Kits.html

I am using some of thier parts for my solution. But I also have done a few other things that are beyond the basic remote filter.

so you have an oil cooler already, but wondering how to relocate the filter w/o affecting the oil cooler right? Sounds like you might need some special oil adapters. If you want to go with a reputable company, greddy has what you need. You can run a remote oil filter kit, then replace the filter adapter with an adapter that has 4 oil line ports, 2 that go to the oil cooler and two back to the block.

This is what i plan to do w/ my greddy turbo kit, since it comes w/ an oil filter relocation kit. I bought the new adapter w/ 4 ports on it already so i can replace the adapter that came with the kit and run an oil cooler.
