Default s2carbonworks Ti shift knob

Hello,
I recently purchased a Ti shift knob from s2carbonworks.com. It came with a plastic thread adapter instead of being threaded to fit like normal. I was wondering If its safe to use some blue loctite to keep any thieves in check when the tops down? I think its pretty sad that they give me a plastic thread adapter with a $130.00 shift knob. Seems kind of cheap if you ask me. Is it possible to get a metal substitute anywhere? what do you guys think?

if its a plastic sleeve if you glue it in, the sleeve will come out.

I like the shift knob I guess its just a universal fit with a plastic sleeve. If they would have said that on the site I might not have bought it, but its already done now. Anyone know where to get a metal sleeve???
