Default S54 Swap

Simply: would it be possible to swap an S54 into an s2k? A straight-six is a pretty good form factor for the s2k, and this would be a fantastic, N/A engine upgrade which could still push above 8k rpm. Thoughts?

Anything is possible with enough money. Put together an estimate of parts and labor, then multiply that by 3. Oh, and I call dibs on your F20.

we have a pretty big, accepting engine bay. like VAD said, with enough money anything is possible...If somebody shoehorned a viper V10 into an S2000, and even the common LS series motors, I am sure you can "fit" an S54. You are going to spend a ton of money, and have to have just about everything custom fabricated.

I do agree though, it would be a pretty cool swap and that engine would definitely fit the cars character.

Anything is possible but the S54 motor require much more maintenance than our f20/22. There is a reason why LS motors are so common, cheap, reliable, and easy to work on. I don't think any of those apply to an S54

I realize *anything* is possible with the right money, but one of the reasons LS motors are used (besides being cheap and ubiquitous) is that they actually fit pretty well because OHV engines are very small. This is why s2k-LS-swap is a thing and the s2k-coyote 5.0 isn't. Am I wrong? My thought is along the following lines: the s2k has an inline-4 engine with a ton of extra space at the end (taken up by a huge OEM air box) which could otherwise fit two more cylinders without *too* much extra $ spent. People have put Nissan and Toyota inline 6's in the s2k at this point. Honda should have made an F30C I6 in an s3000...

I saw an F20 swapped BMW 3 series on youtube but I haven't seen a BMW motor swapped into a Honda.

Wow, that would be a first. Please post pictures and videos if you eventually go through with this plan of yours.

I *don't* think it would be in character with the car. The front two cylinders would be hanging out in front of the axle. No more nimble sports car.

Ya it's a really heavy motor and it'll hang over the front. It IS a great motor though (my daily is an 04 M3 )
