Default seibon cf trunk

I just installed my cf trunk, but I can't get it to lock shut. I've tried adj the trunk left right, up down. what's the trick?

Adjust the lock itself. Loosen the bolts holding the locking mechanism to either further down, right, left etc...

the locking mechanism which is that black plastic thing the clicks and unclicks when you hit the trunk release button. There are I believe 3 screws you can loosen and move that mechanism around a little then tighten them back down.

big oops. I didn't fully tighten the locking mechanism to the trunk and shut it... it locked... forgot to connect the wiring. Now the trunk is locks shut.

I didn't say take it off, Just loosen the 3 bolts then you can move the locking mechanism slighting around...then when you adjust it you can tighten the bolts again.

A way you can open your trunk now is to first go into your car, with the top up remove the plastic tray that the convertible top folds down into. You can then try to remove the spare wheel out of the way if possible. Take a long stick and poke it through the interior trunk piece and try to reach the emergency trunk releases latch.

Try doing a search on other ways that people have gotten their trunk to open, its possible however.

Thanks Shadow I did some searching. IT seems that I'll have to remove the passenger seat as well... I'll mess around with it tomorrow. I don't use the trunk very often so there's no rush I just need to adj the trunk better, to fit and tighten the locking mechanism. It looks like crap.

best bet honestly is to check out some aftermarket trunk latches.

I am pretty sure PWJDM has some on their site, can't remember what brand they are but they work awesome and look pretty gangster on there.
