Seibon MG style carbon fiber install problem.
Hello guys.. I just installed a new Seibon hood i bought but its not fitting properly. It looks like when you close it, it touches with something that is not letting it close right so there is a gap on the driver side by the front, big enough where you are able to see the radiator reserve container. and somehow its closer on the left side to the body of the car than the side oh the gap. I hope i made sense. Help please, im afraid that if it rains i would mess something up.
I got the same exact hood and had the same exact problem. I bought it used so I could not return it.what I did was took off the 2 mounting brackets that the hood mount to and drilled the holes bigger. that way with the bigger holes you have room to adjust it. if this dont make sense pm me and I can go further into detail.

have the same hood with no problem......... make sure the squirter hose is no in the way... i also had to drop my latch that is attached to the car.... get a picture of it an dput it up.
I have this same hood and it was a bit off when I first installed it, but you can make adjustments where the hinges bolt to the car, although its good for mabey a half inch, worked for me, good luck.

thanks for your reply. I'm afraid of start drilling. It just seems that somewhere the is something in the sticking up that does not let it sit right. I was thinking of bigger brackets maybe or some spacers to lift the hood a little bit or something..

some of the seibon pieces don't fit very well from time to time. I tryed to tell my self the same thing over and over that it was something hitting it or the latch nedded to be adjusted.trust me if your hood is cocked to one side you need to adjust the arms that it connects to. or return it.

I adjusted the latches and forced it a little bit to the right and then tighten it and it fitting better now. I also dropped the factory latch as recommended by croftoncustoms and it did helped alot. Better fit now.!! Thanks for your input.. One more thing I am worry about. What happens when it rains? Does all that water accumulates in the vents??
