Default Sequential Shifter for s2000

Hello,
I have written to IKEYA company with a question about making Sequential Shifter for Honda s2000. They have made already paddle shifter for s2000 but I am not a great fan of such paddles as I still would like to use clutch pedal. This is what they have replied to me:

We are currently developing the paddle shifter for the Honda S2000 and some other models. The selling price has not been decided yet. If you are interested in it, please check our website from time to time to see if it is being sold.
Since the paddle shifter is still under development, it is too early to say exactly how the final version will connect to the car.
For us to make a new sequential shifter, we need about 100 orders.. As I mentioned before, the development cost is very high and it takes about 3 years.

Sincerely,
Keiko Ikeya

IKEYA FORMULA
This is their website IKEYA

And this is how it would work on s2000 shifter in action

So the question is: Who would like to order such shifter? They say that it can be made if 100orders will be placed(pleace be serious about that as I am willing to show this topic to the manufacturer so that he can estimate the demand for such shifter).

This unit would eliminate the missed gears and damaged engines due to overrevving and of course it would add cool factor to the car

the engagement seems clunky and cumbersome; everything the S2000 gearbox isn't.

One of those i think would jsut perfect the S2K's driving experience!! Just looks so much fun!

Although 3 years??? speed it up??! cannot be that difficult to engineer a sequential?

While I don't know the feasability of this, you may want to contact Vinny from vinnytenracing.com. He has developed sequential shifters for many vehicles (primarily focuses on G35/350z plaforms nowadays), and may help you with further options. Also, development aside, costs may approach $10K. Lastly, I thought most sequential shifters only require a clutch to initially engage the drivetrain. Thereafter, aren't they clutch independent? Hence one of the advantages of going to a sequential vs standard gated shifter...

There was a thread on the Ikeya stuff already and someone had one of their sequential shifters on their race NSX. Said that it increase the wear and tear on the transmission. don't know for sure if thats true or not...

This is not clutch independent as it depends on type of gear engagement inside tranny. If it is a dog clutch gearbox then you can use no clutch except starting to move but standard honda gearbox has synchros and this requires the clutch to be used.
As for 3 years of waiting for the first shifter to be done it probably was just to scare me but hopefully it could be done in few months as for a base some Nissan shifter could be used(does anyone know which nissan has the same gear pattern including reverse?)
The wear on tranny will be for sure if you change the gears very quick but it is the same with standard shifter.
I know a bit about mechanical side of cars and this is how it looks like about wear from my point of view.

Honda may have a replacement for the S by that time--with its own dual clutch transmission.
