Shift Knobs
my ARC Ti, but it gets friggin hot when the sun hits it.

pros:
-larger diameter. i sorta have big hands
-lower. shorter throw
-pretty
cons:
-i want a larger diameter.
-it's light, so i have to use some force to put it in gear. i'm thinking of putting the stock knob back on since it produces a larger moment..
my ideal knob:
- 2.5in+ diameter
-heavier
-about or less than what the team voodoo knobs run for
-blue gradation like the ti ones
as someone says, i can't justify more than $100 on a knob..

I have been able to burn the steel knobs I'm working on now but hard to get a really even fade of colors and to get as much color out of it as the TI ones get. Harder to burn then them.
To keeps costs down I am using a non stainless metal and then coating with a clear powdercoat. Using stainless especially for a 2.5" would make them cost over $100 for a shift knob. I'm trying to keep the costs around $50-$60 for the ones I'll be making.

I had become a fan of the Voodoo knob when I owned a '96 Miata so it was the first knob to go into my '03 S2K. I did flirt with some others including a Skunk2. But, I missed the nice warm feel of wood that graced other sportscars I owned going back to a '58 TR3A. So I sought out The Knobmeister aka Joe Portas and had a nice mahogany knob made up with a gold shift pattern. I'm just sorry I didn't do it sooner.
