Default shift light doesnt work properly

Hey guys I installed a shift light on the s today and when it light up really slow, the reaction time is REALLY slow. I was wondering If all shiftlights were like that or if I have a defected or cheap one. Any ideas?

Who needs a shift light? Listen to your engine and watch your tachometer.

using a shift-light is like needing a map to find a G-spot.
there is a point up there that the car will tell you "harder, haarderr, haaarderrrrr!!!, NOW!!!!!!!!"
if you have problems finding that zone, Im going to need you to step away from the car and send me the keys.

Shift beeper is the better choice, so you can keep your eyes on the track when you are pushing close to red line more consistently (and don't want a fuel cut at the wrong time)
