Is the design the same? Have you had a solution to the buzz?
I noticed the main difference between the OEM and AF is that yours is a shorter one piece billet , but the fulcrum is in the same place?
The OEM and C's looks like it's separated with a layer of rubber between the outer shell and the lever which I'm assuming, addresses the "Buzz". And also contributes to the less "direct" feel of the AF
comparison, OEM, C's (replica), Axial flow
The throw is the same as the "C" unit. We eliminate the need for the spacer plate with some geometry changes. Not saying how.
The C's also has the same vibration problem on some cars. We have worked on this and gotten about as much out as possable on most cars. There are a few that will "buzz" no matter what. It seems that the engines vary greatly and the added material below the pivot point just give it that much more leverage.
There are cars out there using our SS without the rubber boot that have no problem. Yet there are those that no matter what you do it will vibrate. We have spent alot of time and money on this and we cannot solve everyones problem.
The excellent feel we provide is the selling point. By use of engineering and materials we get the feel just right. You can tell by the comments of people who have been using these for years.
We are having to find a new vendor and make a new mold for the boot as the old man who made them for us has gotten sick and will no longer be able to work. I have been to his shop and can't find the mold so we are making a new one now.
There are some small improvements made to the unit that make the boot stay in place now.
