Just finished installing the Skunk2 exhaust on my 2006 S2000. After finishing I took it for a spin and it seems to be smoking quite a bit out of the tailpipes. Is this normal? The pipes came wrapped in plastic (which I carefully removed) but I didn't think to look down inside the tubes. Did I pull a bonehead move and leave something inside that should have been removed or is the smoking just from the new parts?

 

Thats normal. Just some stuff inside exhaust burning out.

Good luck with the exhaust man, i have an invidia dual, i think they are very simliar, get a test pipe, everyone will be afraid of you

 

So far so good on the exhaust. I drove with and without the silencers. Likely will keep the silencers in while driving on the road and take out when I go to the track. Cars in the shop right now getting a heavy duty clutch put in. Saturday the Kraftwerks high boost supercharger goes in!
