Default Small Problem

I just bought my S so I don't know alot about them. Anyway it had an aftermarket top installed before I bought it. It seems that a small piece of trash has come to reside in the tuubular support for the top. It rolls back in forth in the curve. Just annoying. Is there away to get it out or atleast keep it from rolling around. Also, it seems a little loose. It begins to flap in the rear at high speeds. Is this typical for an S going say over 75mph?? Not that I would know. Just wondering.

I can do 90+ in the wind and not have the top move at all. Is this a factory soft top or an aftermarket one? Are you using the factory catchers?

More than likely it is part of one of the rivets you have to drill out on the top bows that is rattling.

Here's what to do:

At the end of the frame bows right over your head there are plastic caps...they pop off with a little effort (and the rivets may come out as soon as you pop those off). Once you have em popped off, tap on the bow from center to end and see if the bits of metal come out. If not you may need to run up to the nearest car repair/tire shop and ask them blow compressed air through the bow (or if you have a can of compressed air for cleaning a computer, then you can blow that through...it might be strong enough).

Thanks for the help ya'll. I'll try the compressed air tomarrow. It is an aftermarket top and I have no idea what kind of catchers they are.
