Default Rust on frame of top

Hey
recently bought a s2000 and its all great and all but i know there's a bit of rust on the convertible frame and i started sanding some away and touching up with some paint. but there's some rust in areas that are hard to reach. Im just wondering is there any easier way then sanding it away to get rid of the rust? Has anyone got this problem before and mind sharing their experience with us?
Thanks in advance

Mine had a little. It may be just surface rust, which is pretty common I think.

You can always take the top off the frame (and leave it on in the back) and handle it that way.

Isn't it a hassle to remove the soft top? Does anyone have a link or something cause the only thing i find about this is removing the entire soft top for replacing.
Thanks
