Default Soft Top

A quick question that I searched but could not find an answer to.

Is it possible to take my 03 glass roof which is torn from the front an the frame is bent I think ....... cut the back of it and put it on my 00 roof and frame.

Basically get an upholstery shop to combine the 2 tops so I can have the glass on my 00 soft top.

I was looking at the soft top and it can be unstitched right above the glass/plastic on both.

Has anyone done this? Or have a suggestion for me other then buying a complete new one.

any help would be great.
Thanks in advance

I've never heard of anyone doing that so I couldn't say whether it was possible or not. At the very least you'd still have to add some elastic to the middle bar to get it to fold without cracking the glass as in this DIY. Another option would be to buy a Robbins top. They're around $500-$600 instead of $1k for the stocker.
