Default Soft top replacement

Hello to all. I am not a frequent user of s2ki, but occasionally do snoop around

Like many of you all my soft top has a pretty good size rip on the passenger side. I have priced out new tops and obviously they are not cheap. I was told that the AP2 soft top is two pieces (glass portion, and main portion) First question...IS THIS TRUE???? And if so how could I go about buying the main portion of the fabric to avoid the cost of the tempered glass. I know installation is a ***** and I have a guy who is willing to do it with me, but I would like to avoid buying the entire soft top.

If it is possible to buy the main portion, where would I find someone who sells the parts individually?

Thank you all for your help and advice, you guys/girls are great!

if you are getting the soft top with glass rear, it's one piece. the two piece top are the one for my2001 and older, which has a plastic rear.

AP2 is two pieces but is sells as one whole piece. It seems like its glued together. I dont think there's anyone who sells the main portion because it's always the first to go. If you are lucky, you might find someone with a broken glass and good main portion, then maybe your guy can glue it together. But i highly doubt it that you will find one. It's one of those 1 out of million things. Good luck.

Thank you both for the quick response.

Topsonline.com seems easy and convenient, but will I need to replace the hardware as well to avoid the rub?

I did some research online and I was curious if there was anyone who replaced their soft top with the HAARTZ stayfast fabric. Honda uses the twillweave fabric, but I wasn't sure what would be the better fabric to use. Please help
