Default Soft Top replacement

I am looking for a new soft top for my AP2. Has anyone used Auto Tops Direct. The other choice I see is Robins Tops. As for the OEM Honda top here in Canada they are asking over $4000 CAD plus installation which is not an option for me...
Any help is appreciated. Thank you.

First find a recommended installer who has done several S2000 roofs. Hopefully owns one. Buying the roof is the easy part.

Not sure how many folks are actually making the replacement roofs. Robbins may make them all -- or v.v. The Robbins Haartz Stayfast cloth roof is popular and very attractive. Seems to be a better roof than the OEM nylon fabric. I bought mine from TopsOnLine in California (where all the roof vendors seem to be).

I had this roof installed on my '06 in 2019 and it's still new. Note "I had one installed" as proper installation is paramount for fit and prevention of leaks or even flooding the trunk. Horror stories of botched installations are common. Two day self installations are not unusual due to the care needed.

My roof was replaced as part of a group at the host's home one Saturday morning. I think 4 of us had roofs installed the same day by a professional S2000 roof installer who traveled from out of state for the weekend with a plethora of tools, parts, and supplies.

Chuck S thank you for the information. I can assure you there re no installers in this area especially someone who has already done a S2000.
I was looking at the Stay Fast cloth. However, it looks like I will need to install it myself.

Spend as much time investigating the installation and potential installation locations as you can. Buying the roof is as simple a a phone call. There may be a shop near you that restores cars, etc. I only had to drive 2 hours up and back for my installation on a summer morning.

Chapter 20 of the Service Manual has what seems to be "simple" instructions on replacing the roof. And the roof vendors indicate they have videos for buyers to download. I think the time estimate from Robbins for the install of mine was 8-12 hours! Super-skilled professional installer @2poor2mod needed maybe 3 hours -- he did two of us before lunch. He had a 6-foot table full of tools, glues, and small parts laid out. It was obvious he'd done this before as he didn't change drill bits -- he had multiple power drills each with the right bit. Started with removing the seats and much of the interior. When he removed my OEM roof with a box cutter I knew there was no going back!

I put a new roof on my MGB decades ago. No comparison.

Hey! Robbins stay fast is the best replacement top for the car, my buddy Jake and I have replaced tops on these cars for years now and do about 20-30 a year for people! We have an awesome reputation in the upstate New York region, I looked it up and your about 10 hours away from us… could be a fun road trip haha, check out our Instagram https://instagram.com/thes2000source...d=YmMyMTA2M2Y=

we, on average have the top done in about an hour and a half from start to finish
