Who makes spherical top hats for OE style dampers? TIA

Might post this question in the Racing & Competition forum...some of the track guys might have a source, but I don't think I've seen any of them use them.

What are you trying to do? More camber?

 

No, I've got as much camber as I need, I'm running Ohlins MCJ, and I think my spring rates are starting to overwhelm the oem tophats, plus I fixing to up the spring rates soon anyway, so might as well swap the tophats while I'm in there. I'm afraid to post anything but setup questions in R&C, don't feel like getting into pissing match.

 

 

Maybe PM Krazak directly with the question if you don't want to post the question in the R&C. He's probably one of the most knowledgeable of the trackday junkies and has worked with TC Designs on custom suspension items for the s2k previously.

Otherwise, maybe couch the question differently for that forum: "I'm going to be running 700lb springs at the rear and currently run 500lb at the front on Ohlins. Should I be worried that my spring rates are going to overwhelm the oem tophats? Should I use solid top hats? Where can I get them if I need them?"

The only reason I recommend going there, is that this is such a specialty item that would primarily only be needed by racers. And a lot of the trackday junkies don't read forums outside of R&C.

i guess we could look into making something... but i have to see SOME demand for it.

 

probably no demand since most suspensions that could benefit from such a part already come with them.

KW's done come with any aftermarket tophat. that is probably gonna be the biggest market.
