Default Spoiler/wing options?

04 Silverstone

There's probably a bunch of threads out there so sorry for the repeat.

I'm looking into spoilers/wings. Something around the small or medium size will work and that's at least a little beneficial for performance. Sorry if
I'm being too general. I'm open minded but pictures and the name will help a lot.

Always the OEM route with CR spoiler. Another popular track option is APR gtc-200. Those are probably the only proven "small to medium " I can think of before you get into the big wings.

I guess small would be the better term. I like the CR wing. The APR mentioned is a little too big for my taste.

Another option is the Mugen SS rear wing.

just to clarify...
this is a spoiler:

This is a wing:

Spoilers, help with the airflow off the rear of the vehicle, the lateral plane is generally flush mounted to the car.
Wings, are generally mounted on uprights and help by introducing a big lateral plane in the airflow to create downforce.
With that...

Most wings on street cars look gaudy as all heck. It's akin to seeing a 90lb woman with DD breasts. Looks comically mismatched. The only acceptable wing on the S2000 is the CR one, and it's pushing the boundaries of taste. But, it does work.
It's hard to find a spoiler that doesn't look good on a S2000.

Gallery has a ton of aero threads for you to sift thru for ideas.

On a side note, the CR wing is pretty damn awesome, fits the car's body and is functional.

Is there any pics of how the SS mugen and the CR wing are mounted?

How they're mounted? As in installing them, or how they sit on the trunk lid?

I've installed both, and they're both extremely easy. The Mugen SS wing uses one hole on each side of the trunk lid. The same holes that are used to mount the OEM lip spoiler. The holes are already visible on the underside from the factory, you just have to drill them out. As for the CR wing, I strongly recommend getting the OEM CR trunk lid with it. Makes install VERY easy... no lining things up, drilling, etc. Just have to get it painted. And the CR trunk lid has a bunch of extra stuff installed on it that the base model doesn't (bracing, studs for the side-support brackets, etc.). You can Google image my screen name, and a bunch of pics should come up of my old SS wing and the most recent CR wing I installed earlier this year.
