Default Spoon ECU or J's ECU

Im looking for information on a Spoon sports ECU or J's ECU for an AP1, my car is a japanese model and there is a speed limiter on it so i want that lifted, so ihave some questions about it
1. Will the new ECU lift the speed limit in the car
2. Will the new ECU work with the orignal imobeliser on my car
3. Will my keys work or will i have have to get new keys programed to the new ECU
4. Will all other car funtions normal
5. In the future if i fit after market headers and exhaust how will the new ECU manage

Immobilizer will be elimintated and so will the speed limiter.

The ECU is built around the parts. You should install the Cooling parts and componets first

Cooling parts ? do you mean new termostate first ?

fan, thermo, rad cap.


I STRONGLY suggest you read up on those products first. There is alot of information on here regarding both ECU.

These ECU's were made to be used with the Products they sell.

Main reason i want the ECU is the get speed limit taken off the car its set at 180kph top end is 240kph so im loosing out big time !!

will look into the getting fan switch and thermostat first ,

Is there a way to get a immobiliser programed into the new ECU either j,s spoon or mugen ?

Speed limiter! Boo! Don't know anything about the immobilizer, but you will certainly be able to break 240kph.. trust me!

I was able to hit 220. I don't think it will go to much past that.
