Default Spoon Engine Torque Damper help please...

Hi all, I've just bought an ETD for my car but it didn't come with the modified heatshield that it's supposed to....

Anyway, does anyone have a picture of the Spoon heatshield or maybe some instructions on where to cut the hole in the OEM heatshield?

I kind of have a position marked on the OEM heatshield, but would just like to know if anyone has a tried and tested position and also the diameter of the hole to cut.

Any help would be great!

Thanks
Darren

Be prepared to be flamed for this modification.... I have been running without my heat shield for awhile now with no problems... To lazy to cut a hole in it I guess... Might spend sometime in the coming weeks to do it though...

Rumor is and makes sense, that the heat shield is really needed for Right hand drive cars because the Master cylinder would be right there, but with just the battery it may not be needed...

not sure why someone would flame me for this post, but for the record, mine is a right hand drive AP1. so yes, the brake & clutch master cylinders are getting some benefit from the secondary heatshield.

just hold the dampner in the aproximated mounting position, mark with marker, chalk, etc. and cut out a hole. It's really not that difficult. I did mine in about 5 minutes. flame on

It's not hard to cut a hole, even if you end up with a bigger hole.

Otherwise, you can easily source a J's Racing heat shield that can be bought separately minus the torque damper.
