OK since all of you ppl are talking about the J's racing and spoon air duct. I was just wondering... What if you have the J's Racing Type S bumper and you want the airduck that can be attached to the bumper.. What kinda air duct is that? Or there is only one type of air duct? Please let me know

Thanks

David.

You can check the site sponsors, some of them offer cooling plates precut to fit the snorkel. Once you get the cooling plate, you can buy my spoon snorkel

there really is no major difference between the real spoon/j's snorkel and an ebay??? also upon further reading about the products if you have an ap2 bumber you need to cut the intake to make it fit, which shouldn't be hard. also the black cover needs to be cut so how much should you cut off give or take and if people out there gots pics that would be sweet cuz im more of a visual than rather reading

The J's Racing duct fits with no cutting of anything. Only AP2 owners need to remove one of the small cross bars behind the bumper cover. J's makes one for the oem hood, or their hood. I have the oem version on my own car currently. Feel freel to email or pm me any questions on the details of installation. As for ebay cheap knock offs, i cant say whats involved.

ok so I guess I have another dumbass question....do you need an after market bumber or hood to fit this intake, cut the hood whatso ever because I have an ap2 bumber with a seibon cf hood on a ap1 would this be a direct fit for the above or do I need a j's bumber or something crazy
I have a spoon snorkel with a seibon cf hood and I did need to trim up the hood a bit with the dremel. Small price to pay though. If you like the cf look, then go with spoon ($466 from opak racing). I have a friend PAYELS2K who has a J's racing snorkel for the Type-S bumper if you need one. Check the for sale board as well.

I had the Spoon snorkel on my AP1. The only cutting required is the plastic radiator shroud.

I also needed to adjust the hood latch a bit so the hood didn't hit the snorkel.

I own one of the ebay knock offs, it works just as well. The only thing I didn't realize, you do need ether the J's racing hood or the Mugen hood. The stock will not close.
