Default SPOON snorkel

I bought a used snorkel off a member a few weeks ago and installed it this past weekend. The fit is terrible. Where the snorkel enters the airbox, it is not airtight. I cut some plastic fabric I had and encircled the snorkel to get it airtight. Once its tight in the airbox, I look down and the other end (with the rectangular opening) behind my plastic grill is setting about 5-10 degrees lower on the passenger side. There are cutouts on that end for fitting the slats of the grill but they don't match up very well and one of them is tweeking a slat pretty bad. My hood shuts ok without cutting but otherwise I am pretty disappointed with the fit.

You also could have gotten the double sided foam tape that carpenters use on door jams to make the snorkel air tight. They sell it a home depot.

So the snorkel does need some sort of coating to fit air-tight at the airbox?

I've got a rubber gasket that is used on ap2 air boxes, if I can locate it I can send it to you. I bought it to use with my J's Racing snorkel but the J's snorkel fits perfectly and it was too thick with the rubber gasket so I never used it. It is an oem Honda piece.

Huh? I have an ap2. I, of course, had to remove the black plastic funnel that was rivited. I didn't see a gasket? That might be what I need. Just looked at the diagram on majestic and I see the gasket. It should be around my plastic funnel. I'll see if I can remove it from my funnel and fit it around the snorkel. Hope it works.
