Default Spoon steering rack rigid bushing Kit

I just recently purchased the bushing kit and had them installed two weeks ago. I had to take the car in to have them replaced due to the fact the need to be pressed out. I also have the front 4-point asm strut bar installed and the three point asm lower bar. The biggest diffence I noticed is the imediate responce I get when I steer now. Around town just driving you cant really tell but as soon as I hit the turns the steering felt instant. It gives you a better feel for the road and reacts instantlly. The little bit of play I had in the wheel is completely gone. As soon as I start to turn the car reacts with no hesitation. Just a small part but a considerable difference it has made to my driving experience. Just wanted to give a little feedback for anyone looking to purchase the spoon bushings.

Yes. The rack needs to be removed so the stock bushings can be pressed out. Once they are out you just drop the spoon ones in.

It cost me 150 to have all the work done. If you pull the rack yourself you just need access to a press to get the bearings popped out.

You guys know how several companies make the collars or rings that go in the rear diff mount bushings to stiffen then up? I wonder if the same could be done for the steering rack. It would probably cost a bit less and would not require removal of the rack.

The combination of the asm 4-point strurt mounts and the spoon bushings has made a considerable diffenence. The steering feel should be similar to the cr but I have yet to compare. With the play in the steering removed it makes the car is more agile through the turns and gives the driver more feel and control for the road.
