Default Stock seatbelts

Hi all, I tried to search here for an answer and can't find anything. I even tried YouTube and not much exists. I installed a roll bar years, and years ago, but looking to install the OEM stock seatbelts. At the time I removed them I was not thinking they would lock up when they reeled in. Now they are locked and I cannot get them to unlock. I tried to install them thinking if they were bolted in they would work by some miracle. I even tried to plug them back in via the yellow connector, but nothing. Is there some secret to this? I did look at the caps and it literally says do not remove, so before I go down that path, I wanted to check in and see if there is a secret to the madness. Appreciate any insight yall have as I don't think I would be the only one. And yes I tried to pull on them over and over again hoping they would unlock.

Are you saying they are locked in by the retractor? If so if you push the belt back into the retractor reel it should bypass the lock and then you should be able to free it up. it may take some fiddling.

Yes, the retractor will not let the belt out.

Actually all good now. I had the unit upside down and on the wrong side. Yellow is for the passenger side and blue is for the driver's seat.
