Default Swapping start button and roof switch

I was able to find a year old thread on this mod, and wanted to see if anyone else has tried it yet, and what the results were? I think it would look great, but dont know how well it would work.

Seem to remember seeing the same thing and the general idea was that it looks great but is extremely unsafe due to the location
I could see possibly putting it under something that involves flipping a case up to expose the button but not leaving it in the open.
Believe it was something as simple as extending wires though.

I am pretty sure the clutch has to be depressed for the starter to engage? I don't think there is any risk in this.

You can disable compressing the clutch to start the car as well (believe in Europe you don't have to from the factory) but im pretty sure it still has negative effects hitting the button while the car is running unless im incorrect.

Yeah we don't have the clutch switch here in Europe and I accidentally pushed the start button once when I was going to shut the car off.
Not a pleasant sound

If you press the button without the clutch nothing is going to happen.

The UK versions have the bracket for a clutch switch. When I installed cruise control in mine I found that out, surely a clutch switch could be wired in so the clutch has to be pressed to allow the button to work?

Maybe wire it into the vehicle speed sensor too so when moving you wont damage anything even if the clutch is pressed?
