Default Takeda Intake Couple Questions, Coupler Kink?

Hi S2Ki,

For any of you with the Takeda Intake, I have a couple questions:
  1. Does your silicon coupler "kink" since the fitment is not OEM?
    1. Does this "kink" throttle performance? I feel like after adding it, my butt dyno led me to believe that I didn't really get any gains from this, compared to my fujitsubo power getter exhaust.
  2. Does anyone have this intake and an ASM or ASM-style hood? I know the ASM hoods are designed with clearance to the Mugen/J's/ASM Intake in mind. But not sure if this would be detrimental to the Takeda Intake Design. Curious to hear your thoughts?

After I 1st installed, the silicone coupler was kinked inwards on the bottom. I wasn’t sure that it was a detrimental amount but wanted to fix it anyway. A small amount of trimming on the ends of the coupler along with twisting it slightly did the job. On mine, the coupler logo faces between the 1 and 2 o’clock positions.
These intakes are also known to not fit perfectly from what I’ve read here and experienced. For the hard plastic parts that don’t align, use a heat gun and a gloved hand to adjust.
I feel it’s a nice intake after doing this.
