Tamon Duckbill and J's GT wing --- Picture/Info Request
Does anyone have any experience mounting a Tamon duckill with J's Wing with standard mounts? I seen thread where it was cut, but curious what it would look like without (eg mounting the wing higher up the trunk). Also if cutting is needed, will there be a hole gap as shown?
Since there was a member who did it and it seem like there is none :
Or was the hole on the side cover up (since i dont think that side part is a solid piece)?

A fellow S2Ker on the FB group shared a picture. Thought I will upload it here for the community to see

Mounting the wing that far up......looks terrible & I imagine defeats any real purpose of a GT wing?

Yah it kinda does. It definitely better to mount it farther back. Now now my dilemma is, I have a carbon duckbill, so I can't patch the hole on the side with fiberglass . I am not sure how clean the cut can be with carbon we well.

I think its best to choose either the wing or the duckbill but not both IMHO.

If user aesthetic is subject per individual but wing will function best further back (I do like them both with the notched tamon and wing placed in ) and I cannot imagine the duckbill on its own doing much for aero but I am curious to how much if it does affect it.

Yeah the duckill is just for looks, except for the K1 Lab.

Do duckbills have to be screwed on or will strong two-way tape suffice? Yeah I'm not happy about tapping my trunk lid for a spoiler although I want a spoiler
