Default Tanabe Exhaust

Hey guys, so I ordered a Tanabe Medalion Touring Exhaust T70040 for my 06 S2k. It was cancelled today because it apparently won’t fit on the 06+ models. Has anyone installed this exhaust on 06+ s2k’s? Is there a reason why it wouldn’t fit?

You need to un cancell that order. They are all the same for all years. I have put one on my 2006 as well as friend's 2000. On the 2006 you will notice that the rear most hangers are triangle shaped (the rubber things). On the stock exhaust there is one hanger on top and two on the bottom (one metal hanger top, two metal hangers on the muffler). On the Tanabe you only have one hanger on the exhaust (muffler). You will see that the triangular rubber hanger is not an equal triangle. Hang the exhaust using the SHORT side of the triangle. It works perfect. No need for new hangers and the muffler is properly centered in the bumper cut outs.

A few weeks back It put a Tanabee Gold Medalion on a 2007, with no issues whatsoever.

In 2015 I naively put the Tanabe Medalion Touring exhaust on my 2006. I had no clue it wouldn't fit. Just checked the garage. Yep, the exhaust is still on the car.
