Default Tanabe medallion touring on MY2006

Anybody know if the tanabe medallion touring dual exhaust fits a MY2006?

Tanabe says it only fits from 2000-2005. But many of the other exhausts say they fit all years.

Any idea what changed exhaust wise between 2005 and 2006?

Nothing, they fit on 2006. There was a thread about this exhaust where someone talked to tanabe and they simply never tried fitting it to 2006+, thats why it says -2005

I believe there are some very slight changes on passenger side tunnel as the seat mounting is different.

This exhaust does fit 06+ though, no issue at all and I highly recommend it.

Fit perfectly (and highly recommended) on my 2006. The Speed Academy guys have this exhaust on their track BADASS2000 to meet noise restrictions at some tracks and to allow driving on the street. I call it "mature performance,' they call it "gentlemanly." It's both. No drone; can converse inside the car; aggressive when it hits VTEC. (Since you have an '06 I highly recommend a Gernby Hondata FlashPro tune. VTEC at 3600 rpm with this exhaust provides startling mid-range power.)

Removing the OEM exhaust is the hardest part. Start by removing the hangers at the mufflers and work forward. Rear subframe cross bar has to come off. Watch the Mighty Car Mods episode where they put the Invidia Q300 on their car. Same procedure. I originally installed the Q300 on this car but the horrible done and noise had me ripping it off within a month. The swap took less than an hour since the OEM exhaust was no longer on the car.

Mine is behind a 63.5mm Berk high flow cat -- also highly recommended.

Photos taken to show the Alloy Craft diffuser but show the Medalion Touring nicely.

It fits. On my 2007 all i had to do was adjust hangars a bit to make sure the tips were centered and same distance out. I love the exhaust NA and s/c! And like Chuck said, the OEM removal is the hardest part... make sure to use some PB blaster on those CAT bolts and some silicone spray for the hangars to ease the removal... good luck

Thanks guys!!!

It's really hard to tell from you tube clips, but this exhaust seems to be what I'm looking for: deeper and more agresive sounding than stock when the throttles down, and not droneibg and annoying when cruising.

I really liked the exhaust sound on my 1971 Porsche 911, and the tanabe medallion has probably the closest character.

And yeah, HFC, Flashpro and Gerntune are planned next few months as soon as I get time.

Not sure if the diffuser is merely decorative or not. But it doesn't seem to be bothering anything.

EZ Car Lift. Expensive but invaluable when I work on the car. I ain't crawling under the car on jackstands. This is much more stable.

26" off the floor allows near sitting room underneath. Oil, gearbox, and differential changes; exhaust swaps, etc. And chair height for things like wheels and brakes.
