Ebay?

Cheap Test Pipe

does the same thing a real expensive one would do.

Some people will argue the welds suck, idk where they get the info?? but hey you can get the welds reinforced for under $40 anywhere.

I have the berk test pipe which people "claim" you get no cel. Well i kept getting one. So i have to buy spark plug anti fouler($2.99). So buy the cheapest test pipe because they all do the same thing.

I have a T1R, the check engine light comes on sometimes but then goes off again, i always check it anyways, but it gives me the same 0420 code. So might aswell get a cheap test pipe, there's alot more flow coming out of so figure it'll always set it off.

For MY06+ there's a pretty good chance you're going to get a CEL with a test pipe. The drive by wire engines are much more sensitive to emissions faults.

I have an Megan TP and I agree that it gives just as good or better a bump in power then a CAI alone. I think the 2 items are great together. With the MY06+ you will prolly get a CEL though. My MY05 has over 4k miles now with my Megan TP and back to back spark plug anti-fowlers without ever tossing a CEL. They have a new 90 deg. spark plug anti-fowler that may help the CEL issue.

I will also warn you about the smell. Some people say it's not so bad and I agree but you will notice. I can tell when other new cars in front of me have TPs now, without any doubt. I have to keep the g-door open when I park just to let the fumes clear out. I think the increase in MPG and power make up for the mild smell though. I also notice my SS pipe tips get yellow real quick and it's hard on the rear bumper paint near the pipes. You will notice if you like to keep your car clean. These engines burn pretty clean but there is still a good amount of fuel in there and over time it will take it's toll.

You should consider the Berk high flow cat. It doesn't cost that much $, is legal (kinda) and has real good flow (check the site). It should work without tossing a CEL as well. I will eventualy buy a Berk header and high flow cat (cheaper together). I suggest the same.

I have a Berk's hi flow cat that was installed by Hockey and I like it a lot. It's cost a little more but the quality is good.

you need to add an external fix if you go with the 70mm invidia. the built-in fix along does not work.

i have the 70mm invidia tp and got a cel after only 40miles. i added an external fix, steel wool and header wrap. it's been 2+ months and over 1,000miles and i have not had a cel.

peps say the 06+ models are more sensitive but i'ved read where older model owners had to use the steel wool trick also...
