Is it possible to use what you guy's call a test pipe with my original exhaust ? If i am correct your refering to a de-cat pipe ?????? Im looking to keep the original exhaust but want a slightly louder note will this work. What's the best way to go ie brand/make with fitment etc in mind.

Cheers Dave
yes you can, if you want more 'noise' you could also remove the resonator, however i can't tell you if it will sound any 'better'!

The berk test pipe is the best test pipe IMO. It comes with a built in check engine light fix and gained me 6whp over the stock cat on back to back dynos.
i had a berk test pipe and i enjoyed it as well! didn't have a check engine light and i thought the car felt faster!

I highly suggest not to remove the resonator, the car sounds nice and deep with just a test pipe, as soon as you take out the resonator you get this

If you are having trouble finding the 70mm one with the tabs, you can always find a 70mm test pipe and weld tabs onto it. All you need is a little math and a welder. Me personally I could do the welding portion, but the math is not my strong point. Plus it is kind of wierd to bring my car and projects for my car to the shop everyone gets there offroad toyotas worked on. Everyone "looks down" on me.

thats direct from Berk, although test pipes are a dime a dozen in the for sale section. You can save a few bucks if you get a used one from there.
