Test pipe
Is it possible to use what you guy's call a test pipe with my original exhaust ? If i am correct your refering to a de-cat pipe ??????
Im looking to keep the original exhaust but want a slightly louder note will this work. What's the best way to go ie brand/make with fitment etc in mind.

Yes, you can. A test pipe is a pipe that eliminates the cat. So yeah, you are correct. When looking for a test pipe there are many options. I believe it is the t1r that has tabs to mount the stock heatsheild over top of it so it will pass a visual inspection if a cop pulls you over and looks. That is the one I like best, but there are a lot of options out there.

Ian, do you have the t1r installed with the heatshield? I just did mine and I'm trying to find the cause of a rattle I'm getting at 4.5-5k rpm.

No, I dont, although you may try puting rubber washers in between the 2 pieces of the heat shield before you use the screws to put them together. That might help some if it is the heat shield that is rattling.

sorry to threadjack but i heard about t1r having a 70mm test pipe with those brackets on for the heatsheild but i cant seem to find them... can someone hint a place where i can start looking
