Default Test pipe or HFC?

Hey everyone,

I've been reading through the forums regarding TP vs HFC and still haven't really got my answer. I'm currently running a CT-Engineering cat-back exhaust on my AP2. It sounds great but drones like crazy in the lower RPM's. On some days, it really drives me nuts and it feels like my head is about to explode.

I've been thinking about purchasing a test-pipe or HFC. How will each one affect my car in terms of:
1) will noise levels increase significantly?
2) will it be raspy?
3) will it change the tone of my current setup?

Also, I've heard very good things about the Berk brand.

Thanks!

TP will drone less than a HFC from my own experiences.

But regardless, both will drone less than stock cat. Right?

I wouldn't mind having all the Prius owners hate me - lol.

I think I'm leaning towards an hfc too. I don't wanna sit there and smell my fumes all day.

How much louder did it get with the hfc compared to stock? Significantly?

Also, which one is better - invidia or berk?

Eh, test pipe if you don't have sniffer emissions in your state, if you do, get a hfc. (probably still fail unless you mix in a couple of gallons of e85)

What will the HFC do to the sound of my car though? I'm worried about having a raspy tone. My exhaust is the CT-Engineering one.

I'm pretty set on the Berk HFC but I want to make sure it's the right decision for me.

Thanks for the recommendation. I'll give them a call and see what they can do. Hopefully, they can ship to Canada!
