Default Is there anything out there?

So I've been doing my homework on exhausts, and from the videos I've seen on youtube, they all sound so raspy/tin-can/bumblebeeish?

Here are two examples:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZsixZP9R1Pg

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b5EcbITDk6o

Am I missing something here, or do people actually like the sound of these exhausts. I get embarassed for people when they drive by sounding like this, be it a Civic, Neon, or whatever else. It's not pleasing at all.

Is there anything out there that sounds decent?

invidia v4, fujisubo (sp? ) legalis r, supersprint ( if you can find it ), hks hi-power...etc..

there's some great sounding, quieter exhausts out there. problem is that the quiet ones generally don't make the power that the loud-ass exhausts do. such is life i suppose

Invidia is very loud, obnoxious, and ricey. The J's sounds really deep, it just sounds weird through speakers. If you want a nice sounding exhaust get either a mugen, hks, or a fujitsubo. But you wont get power from any of them. I have a 63mm T1R single and it sounds really deep and really growls. Gave some good power and lost alot of weight. You have to hear the exhausts in person before you make a decision. Its really deceptive online.

Maybe this will help, if not then stock will be best for your application.

The HKS is one of the best sounding exhausts out there. Not ricey.. deep growl at WOT, but you have to get used to the drone. I find that most exhausts quiet down over time. The HKS isn't too $$$ either.

I have Invidia, it is loud at times but the sound is like one of those old racing movies I used to watch in black and white. Incredible.

I used to think the exhaust was to make smaller engines sound bigger than they really were..., till I got this system. I love it.

Invidia N1/V4

Thanks. Just listened to this Mugen:

Sounds pretty good. I know you have to pay to play, but is there anything that sounds similar at a more affordable price?

The invidia V4 has been compared to the mugen. Costs a little less, and has similiar sound. Also the fujitsubo is cheaper than mugen but more than the invidia V4.

Invidia.....either hate it or love it.......the videos do no justice...you have to hear it in person
