Default Thinking of doing various upgrades....

I love my s2k, and i'm considering doing the following upgrades. But I would hate with the reliability of this amazing car. What are your thoughts? What have you done to your s2k, has anything negative come of it?

These are the upgrades I'd like to make:
  • Headers
  • Downpipe
  • Cold Air Intake
  • Full Exhaust

I'm not sure what brands yet, so any suggestions would be appreciated. I'm looking for the best gain of performance without sacrificing any reliability. Thanks!

Have some searching to do. No downpipe unless you are turbo. Only 1 header as well. Read the na forum for all the info you need. Will get a few hp if you chose the right exhaust parts.
Can gain around 10 hp with the right setup. Maybe 20 with a tune. No breathing mods like that wont hurt reliability unless they lean it out too much.

Research research research. Just takes time to find out what works for you and for your car. Don't jump into things then possibly regret the purchase later. I personally have a GReddy SE single and love it but thats me. Just take your time and it will all come together.

My friend has the Tanabe exhaust, and I'm literally in love with the way his car sounds.

To some it might be.

You should research, research, research. When you think you've done enough, do some more. Then you'll be buying the right parts.

As always the often overlooked track time is highly recommended. It will help you determine what you actually need on your car (if anything).
