has anyone taken apart the third brake light? if so, can some one provide images of the inners? i am curious what's behind the casing for a project i have in mind. thank you.

 

You can have it off in 5 minutes .. Just a few bolts.. Edit realize you mean the actually lens lol

 

Actually I'm wondering this too, same reason. Needed to try something for a project. Might be able to get a used third brake light soon so maybe ill be able to take one apart and post here if someone else doesn't.

 

Sweet!! I have baked headlights before. But tail lights and brake lights look like a whole different ball game. It almost appears like the red piece and the black piece are screwed together but from the inside. You will know what I mean when u take off the black rubber seal on the backside.
