Default Throttle Body

My S threw a CEL the other day on the way home from college. I pulled the code to find out it is the TPS. As I am aware, Honda only sells the tps as part of the throttle body itself. I made a few phone calls to different companies to find out a little more about my options. I found the following:
In-Line 4 max bore with sensors $390
- concerned with how the lines will have to be re-routed.
Proflow bored + civic tps mod $250 + 70
- will have to send my throttle body and wait an extended period of time
Spoon $700
-pricey but not much more than factory part

I was wondering people's experience with these aftermarket parts. I am aware that they offer minimal to no real power gains (especially adding to stock). If I have to spend a ton of money to fix the problem to begin with, I might as well get a little more out of it.

Have you done any of the tests to make sure it is actually a bad TPS, and not just a bad ECU or connection?

We have replacement TPS sensors available if ones are needed.

No way, way too much. Omni TPS ($90) and Omni 70mm Throttle Body ($100). Or as a pair for $150

Omni Power TB with TPS sounds like a steal. Even if you get NO power gains the price is good and you are getting a new TPS.

It started showing some symptoms of a bad TPS about a month ago. It would stumble at idle dropping from 1000 rpms to 200 or 300 rpms and finally shut off. This occurred more often on the first time it had been cranked in a day. I haven't done any further checking to see if it may be the ECU. I have checked to make sure it had a good connection. I appreciate the advice. I had been trying to look around and see what the best deal was. I figure I might as well get something that performs a little better if I am going to be spending about the same amount of money. I'll keep everyone posted on how it all pans out.

I know you need one with a throttle cable, you may not need one with drive by wire. Not sure about that one...
