throttle body coolant bypass....and CO2?

Default throttle body coolant bypass....and CO2?

i was doing a search for coolant bypass to the throttle body and i found that it was mostly ap1 and i couldnt find and info for any mod to the MY06+. i think there are 2 coolant lines to the throttle body.

Edit: ok i have done the coolant bypass and rerouted the coolant lines pass the throttle body and capped the 2 plugs on the throttle body. i drove around and the throttle body does stay much considerably much much cooler than the engine. but after awhile, the throttle heats up from the conduction of heat through the intake manifold. i was wondering if i could run CO2 through the plugs to rapidly cool down the throttle body. almost like a fogger kit. the only thing i could being problems would be contradictions with the intake air temperature sensor and messing up with my tune, and if the throttle body is very hot and i spry the CO2 through the throttle body, i am afraid it might crack something. Opinions?

Do it. I bypassed mine 3 years ago when I installed my hondata gasket. No need for this unless you live in extremely cold climate.

What are the advantages of bypassing this? A cooler air intake temp?

I did this on day one. Especially good in no-freeze areas such as Southwest. You get rid of a ton of useless hardware and if you have a CAI, it makes total sense.

This is also great if you have the coolant-block Hondata IM gasket.

Here's the setup:



You can figure it out just by following the path of coolant.
Get one of those packs of rubber ends from VatoZone and re-use the original hose clamps. You put one on the head output (A), 2 on the tb (X & Y) (not really needed but so dust doesn't get in there) and one on the drain at the block (not indicated but under the (B), third from the left down there)

I don't have a "B" or all that stuff on the side of the intake manifold.

Yea, I couldn't find a picture of an '06+ but you should get the idea. It's similar. You're just tracing a path from the head output, through the tb, and drain back to the block. So cap the output, cap the drain nipple, and remove everything in between.

I can post pictures if you're still confused.

dbw are a little different. I'll snap a photo in a bit. it's a really simple mod.

And this mod doesn't do any harm to the electronic (DBW) throttlebody at all or it doesn't change the idle etc?
