Default Tien RS coilovers

Did a search but could't find any info on these. I know these retailed for about 2800 new back then. I am getting a great deal on them but i have to get them rehauled from Tien. Any info would be great and thanks in advance.

The predecessor to the Tein SRC's. 16 way adjustable, external reservoirs mounted to the shock body, all aluminum. 10k springs out of the box. Very light. Very well built. If you get them overhauled, you can have them valve for stiffer springs (might as well have them installed there too).

Excellent quality. I run them. I track them. And have never considered another setup since I got them. Nothing but good things to say. If you can get a killer deal they are a great value.

I'm not sure I want stiffer springs since I don't track my car. My question is, is this set up over doing it just for street use? Depending on how much it cost to overhauled im getting these coilovers for 800 installed+price of overhaul.

No. The 10k springs are comfy enough on streets and handle awesome. You'll love them. I don't think overhauling will be THAT expensive so yeah, good deal.

You could probably get a new set of Flex's for what you're paying but there are all aluminum with the external reservoirs. Nice!

Basic Overhaul for the RS is $150 per damper. Thats not including replacement parts if needed.

Yeah, I figured about $600. I think that's reasonable considering they'll be as good as new with new seals and proper valving done by a pro. Plus you can tune them however you want. I spoke to them a while back and they said that they have loads of different spring options and you can pretty much order them how you want and they'll put it together and tune it properly so you have nothing but install to do when you get them back.

Nice!
