Tinting and heat
Summer is approaching and I drive a black on black S2K. I was thinking about tinting the side and rear windows 35% (maximum TX tint), mostly to keep the heat down in the cabin. But does tinting even help with keeping the interior cool when you have a soft top?
Someone posted a thread about using a specific new type of 3M tint that recently came out to help with heat. I think he did a light tint on the windows and a clear film on the windshield (no tint). I recall him saying it made a huge difference to him.
I know that when I added 35% tint to all my windows in my 09 Civic I could tell a difference in the afternoon when getting into the car after work. While it wasn't cool by any means, it definitely was not as hot as it used to get before tint.
