Toda Header/Hondata Reflash

Toda Header/Hondata Reflash
I'm trying to fall back in love with my car. Here is what I'm planning, and I was looking for some input.
I'm planning to buy a Toda header (standard version), Berk High-Flow-Cat, and send the ECU to Hondata to get the Toda Reflash. I have a Mugen AP2 exhaust and knock-off Mugen intake with ASM cooling plate.
I drive a lot, and this is my daily driver. A 70mm single exit exhaust is not going to happen, so forget that idea.
According to Hondata's data from their site, it's a pretty simple thing. Buy a Toda Header for $1300, get a Hondata intake manifold gasket ($50), send ECU overnight to Hondata and have it reflashed ($295), and buy a Berk HFC. You get 20+ midrange torque and HP. The reflash used to be $595. This seems way too simple.

Hondata does recommend a Test Pipe, but I really don't want to deal with the smell everyday. I figured HFC would be sufficient.
I'm much more interested in mid-range power gains, which this seems to solve. I'm a little concerned about creating a slew of problems. My car has 89,000 miles on and runs great. Does anyone anticipate this seemingly simple bolt-on NA power creator to be a potential problem down the road?

I agree completely with Realstreet about getting the FlashPro instead of the regular reflash. The FlashPro will allow you to do a custom tune, but it also includes "canned" tunes (including the Toda tune). It will also allow you to flash back to stock whenever you desire, which is a HUGE benefit, especially if you still have a warranty, or anyone else ever drives your car. For example, if you don't want someone to be able to drive your car hard, you can lower the rev limiter to 4K RPMs or limit the amount of throttle that the ECU will deliver.
However, you don't have to use the Toda header to get big gains from the Toda tune. I got huge midrange gains (20+ ft-lbs) with the Toda tune using a T1R header, PWJDM intake, 60mm test pipe, and aftermarket mufflers (modified OEM exhaust).

^ + ^ Agree and agree...
The Toda header is top notch... but so are many others. Wanting mid-range you could go with several less expensive header options, get the Flash Pro and have way more tuning options down the road, and as far as TP vs HFC, not the same... Look through a HFC, doesn't look too high flow does it. The smell is only on start up and is really not bad unless you have a tiny garage (like mine)
Save on the Header, DYNO tune for the Win!

Any tuner will tell you to get a dyno tune done to your specific set-up, over any flash/basemap.

That kind of quoted spending for 20 hp just aint worth it. With the cost of the Berk Cat its about $2k for 20hp. Or you can spend about $4k for over a hundred.
