Default Turbo Kit

Hello, I'm Planning on getting a turbo kit. But, I don't know enough about it so im just trying to do my research before i get into it. Im planning on spending 1-2k on a kit without installation. What would be the best kit for my price range. Im looking for atleast 10+ psi I would like a kit that has none or a little to no relocation of anything. If anyone can tell me a kit or just things i should know before getting a turbo please let me know. Thanks!

There is a whole subforum dedicated to this question.

But to answer your question- there is nothing in your price range. The average kit costs between 5-7k excluding install. A ems and a tune will run close to 2k. Even if you buy all used parts, you will still spend upwards of 4-5k.

That price range won't even get you a quality intake/header/exhaust.
The cheapest forced induction option would be a used, base, non after cooled comptech system (6-7 psi iirc), and that will still run you around 2500 without a tune or install. And those a rare to find.

Ya you don't have enough money saved up to do forced induction.

1-2k will get you engine management and injectors. As mentioned above you'll need another 5k + for a turbo kit.

Check out the fi forum and start saving a lot more money if you want to boost it.

Lol you can get used kits well below 5-7k. My buddy got a complete kit with a 6262 minus the injectors and standalone for 1400. Not the cheap 300hp greedy kits, he can make north of 600hp safely. He's at 500 right now very conservative. And no it was stolen the guy was just upgrading to a 6266 to see 800+

Lol 1-2k isn't even a good exhaust system.

My build owes me 15k, good luck.
