Default UK exhaust mod complete muffler bypass?

i would like to get more sound out of my s2000 and am pretty much broke right now so can get a catback exhaust so been looking at the uk mod and wondering if anyone has tried bypassing the inside of the muffler completely. what i mean is to have a pipe run right to the middle of the muffler where the u shaped pipe is so it goes stright out of the muffler seems to me like it would flow better but wouldnt want to do it if it will be obnoxiously loud i have the stock cat and will eventually get a berk HFC. so has anyone tried this? should i just be looking at straight pipe videos for sound level or does someone know of a video with this exact thing done?

and if you guys think it will be really loud what seems to be the best pipe size for the normal UK mod ? i am in the usa so will be in inches

thanks for all and any help its much appreciated

I would just save up a bit of money and grab a used exhaust off the forums.wouldn't cost all that much more and would save weight.

well i guess it would pretty much be a straight pipe at that point but want to keep the stock muffler cans just bypass the interior so it goes in the back U loop and out the tip instead of into the can and through all the loops
