Default VAFC2

Using a vafc2, has anyone monitored there AFR ('WOT') settings after a month/a few weeks on a dyno? - I'm not interested in partial throttle.

I went back after 2 week or so and the AFR was still the same, just wondering after a month or more than 2 weeks, has the AFR has gone back to stock AFR (before tune) ie the ECU has learned over it.

Reason being IIRC STFT effects the LTFT

Folk say it wont learn over WOT settings but like more input, technially wise.

Cheers

On VAFC2 when you are WOT that's when the tune comes into play and no your ECU won't "relearn" your WOT tune. Your AFR will vary somewhat depending on several conditions, including temp/humidity/etc. This is the main reason that people don't like the VAFC/VAFC2 is because you can only tune at WOT. Other engine management systems allow you to tune partial throttle as well as WOT. The partial throttle is where your ECU "learns/re-learns"

I am not claiming to be an expert by any sense of the imagination so perhaps others can chime in.

basic NA should only be tuning WOT for power, if you wanted more power than you should be pushing down on the pedal more.

i still have to get around to tuning mine for the PRM intake. it's nice that the WOT is a fixed schedule and doesn't get relearned 'cause the vafc is such a nice cheap tuning tool.

Isn't the Hondata ECU upgrade tuned for WOT as well as POT? If there is more power or responsiveness to be had at POT why not take advantage of it just the same as WOT...

Thanks guys i posted this twice sorry (much better technical replies in this thread than the other), my logic for asking was from a technical POV and most threads just say it doesnt learn over WOT as its open loop.

It fine saying its not adjusted in open loop but this has input for the LTFT, partial throttle STFT effects LTFT, IIRC WOT looks at LTFT too you see?.
