Default Vented hood

This may be a silly question, but I keep wondering how do you guys deal with rain, snow, etc with vented hood (Mugen, J's Racing, etc)???

I know it's a no brainer to swap back to stock but it seems such a hassle each time. Do you do DIY cover on the inside lining???

Can someone shed some light for me please. Thanks.

haven't had an issue with my vented hood what so ever. my vents are on the exhaust side of the car and its the oem vented hood. i don't know about intakes but if you have one other than stock i don't know. I have a stock box on mine still since my last 2 s2000s with intakes kept acting up whenever i drove in the rain.

That's because you were sucking in water.

And that's bad... which is exactly the point of my question. How to go about it with vented hood?? Or is it strictly for dry season only?

If the car is a daily driver I wouldn't go with a vented hood. I have a K&N so water would basically be pouring on the air filter if it was raining hard enough.

add an plastric umbrella and block the water drain hole under the hood next to the radiator mount...

I have my aem intake combined with my vented hood for over 4 years right not... never had any issue and i've driven in really bad weather ...

Yea I got his old hood and he has my old solid hood, I love it, I have the comptech intake and since it has the carbon fiber cover over it and the opening for air to come in the front of the box not open to the top, I don't have a problem with driving in the rain, and I've already driven is several downpours, I have neo-gens so I wouldn't dare to drive in the snow so I dont know how it would be, but ive parked my car in the rain mines a DD and I have had no problem starting it with the car sitting in the rain. I've heard of people making carbon fiber inserts for the holes for the rain and such that just clip in, but i don't have em. hope this helps
