Default VIS Mugen CF hardtop

So I installed my hardtop about 2 or 3 weeks ago and I am very happy with it. It fits on there very well, but took some time to get it right. The CF looks really good in person and I would highly recommend this part. Only thing I changed about this kit was the thin plexiglass it came with. I got a custom made plexiglass that was thicker and matched my 20% tint. It got kinda dark when I took these pics so I need to take some more later. I was in a better lite up parking garage, but the security kicked me out yelling that they could hear my car inside the building and I was setting off all the car alarms haha!! I was driving very slow and he even saw me damn t1r 70rt is very loud and deep exhaust Well here are some pics I took enjoy!

If you have any questions let me know.

Here is a random pic I found when I didn't have it fit on right, but just installed... notice I haven't got the window installed haha

Looks great! I'm putting mine on later this week. I'm having a bit of trouble getting the supplied brackets to line up though.

Did you install it yourself?

Also, how much was it to get that rear glass installed?

I used the hardware that came with the hardtop. Some of the holes on the brackets didn't line up either. I am missing one bolt out of 3 holding the hard top. It isn't going anywhere so I am not worried about it. Here is a trick I did with a friend on the install. I got a old shirt and cut it out to fit the bracket that connects to the hardtop. superglued it on the bracket and then tightened the bolts on the hardtop. It took all the squeaking noises away. It is very quiet inside and sounds better on the highway. Also took some of the exhaust sound/drone away from the inside I did the install myself with a friend. It takes like 30 mins to install everything if you know what you are doing. Takes maybe a hour or so to make everything line up and look right. The hardtop was very light maybe weighted 25 pounds if not less. If you get this hardtop I would only recommend to get a different rear plexiglass. The one it came with was clear and thin. Didn't look very safe to put in. I went to a glass shop called kryger glass they had some colored plexiglass sitting around that they didnt know they had. It matched my tint perfect!! They were happy to make me a custom plexiglass from the old one. They charged me like 15 dollars more to do this because they liked the car. A big plus for that shop. They did a really good job and charged me 135 for the install with glue and the glass. The plexiglass was alittle thicker and made a huge difference on strength.

The bracket simply does not line up with the body. I tried mounting the bracket onto the body first then installing the 3 bolts that attach to the hardtop but the bolts didn't want to budge.

So I tried installing the 3 bolts on the hardtop first then installing the bracket on the car, but this way I can't get the rear bolt of the bracket onto the car. Any tips?

I did do the t-shirt trick though! I wasn't a big fan of the supplied side window seals either. The dang things are not form fitting and crease at the first curve, so I plan on pulling the soft top side window seals off and sticking them onto the HT with some adhesive.

Were the supplied seals sufficient? I haven't gotten to drive my car with the top on just yet, but I'm picking up some more foam padding later today just for some extra insurance.

The top looks great btw! Our cars will be twins once I get this dang thing on.

I'll take some pics later today on how mine is installed.

But I attached mine to the body first hand tight not fully tight to the chasis. Then I had a friend push down a bit on the Hardtop and aligned the holes.
