On a side note, getting a bunch of wind noise on the driver side. Passenger side seems ok. Should i get the oem rubber seal for the side since the one i have comes in 3 pieces? I was also thinking trying to modify that one by adding some rubber piece along the whole seal.

If the hardtop oem seal is recommended, does anyone know how much they go for?

Does anyone know the thickness of the plexiglass? The shop I was going to take it too needs to know before they can do the job.

I think VIS HT's are 3mm thick for the rear plexiglass, from memory, mine is 6mm though.

So different sizes can fit in regards to the plexiglass? I rather go with the thicker plexiglass if it fits.

All depends upon how good the rear seal is.

Decided to purchase a piece and cut it for the Mugen top. Regarding the weather stripping, would any universal stripping work. Also, any recommendations on what to use to glue the plexiglass top to the hardtop.

Purchased a lexan piece, 4' by 2' already tinted.

I used some 3M windo weld to put my rear window in, it worked perfectly and holds fine. I did kinda mess up though. I just put a normal bead of the stuff all the way around, and when I put the plexiglass in some of it smashed out onto the plexiglass, and I couldnt get it off. So I guess I used to much, but ohh well i'm getting my new tinted one put in professionally at the end of the week when I get the top painted anyways. I would highly recommend just taking it to a window shop and having them install it.

You will be surprised their arent many who do it.. There was one local that was going to do it, and he said to bring the car in to check it the next day. I bring it and then his tech is late and said if i can wait till 10 until he comes, it was 8am. I asked if another tech could see it and he said no. So i was done with that shop.

So basically, im going to get the measurments, cut it with a dremmel, and then use what you just mentioned. What did you use for the seal. Also, do you see the #m windo weld throught the plexi? I noticed on my current one they painted or put some type of black border on the plexiglass to cover it.

Dang man, that sucks. Well like I said I used a little to much not knowing, and it smashed out into the plexiglass a little bit, so you can see some around the edges of mine. I thought about making like a 1/4" black border with paint or something to cover it, but since i'm getting a new window I don't really care right now.

You shouldnt be able to see any of the windo weld through the window at all.
