Default VooDoo

I was a bit upset when I started noticing my Rick's Voodoo Shift Knob showing a defect.

I picked it up about a few months back, and now there is a hazy, cloudy imperfection showing around the top of the piece which won't go away with a basic cleaner.

Is there anyone else having this problem?

Have you contacted Rick about this? I would try to resolve the situation before bashing his company. Give him a chance to make it right. Nothing is perfect. That's where customer service comes in. Good luck. I have a few scratches on mine but they are all my fault.

Do you wear a ring on your right hand? I have been trying to decide between a spun or pearl finish and assumed a ring might mark up the pearl.

^^ Nope. No ring.

I'm thinking they may have finished it after they cut the 6Spd engraving, and the dips in the piece caused too much friction to make it a clean finish.

I purchased the polished aluminum knob in Feb 08. Currently the knob's coating is gone, and leaves me with this awful metal smell. I wrote Rick and currently awaiting his response.

The knob is top notch but the quality of the surface coating is not. I hope he can do something and help with this. I know is a wear and tear issue but it should not have happened in such a short span of time from date of purchase.

I cannot purchase another knob, Im paying child support, have a girlfriend which has a daughter, and I own an 07 S2000 and have a horrible driving record, so the insurance is sky high...any questions? So please Rick if you are reading this thread... help me and this brother out!!

He will help you out, as he helped me with my Voodoo when I had it. Rick is great with customer service from my personal experience.

CR shift knob is built like a dream, about $50 and with titanium finish (complexion). Honda also has a titanium upgrade teardrop knob for $100, anyone with experience of that knob? does it sit higher, weight, etc??
Rick's stuff looks great, nevertheless, especially those floor mats. I will probably get those in time.
