Weapon R Neo Titanium Secret intake

I read it's better than K&N. Any comments?

BTW: Will this work for a 2003?

It says its for a 06+, and I don't see the proper fittings for air injection/pump, so my guess is no?

Is it CARB Legal? I'm really curious as to this claim of 3x more air.... like really curious

^i think its a generic picture, not the intake for the s2k.

OP, unless theres a special box for that intake even if it has proper resonance tuning if its sucking in hot air I doubt it'll be better than the K&N

I've seen this intake before installed. It looks almost identical to the chepo ebay $35 ones. I will guarentee it will not perform better than the K&N. This will just suck all the hot air and the filter sits right in front of the exhaust manifold. You will have heat soak like crazy and most likely lose some power over the stock airbox. Either keep the stock intake or get a nice one instead of wasting your money.

You have to consider though that titanium is a very poor conductor of heat, and it looks like the filter is enclosed as well. Depending on how it's installed I could see this potentially getting less heat soak....

Consider the source, as with anything on the interwebs. Where did you hear that?

Where are you getting that impression from?

Unless there are parts not included in the photo it looks like an HAI to me.

My monitor at work sucks. It looked like a solid black enclosure, at home I can clearly see that's not the case. Point of Ti still stands, but I'm curious to see it installed on an S.

I would expect a lot of power loss from an intake like this, but I would expect significantly better gas mileage.

"Neo chrome" is a plating made to look like the colors of burnt titanium. The intake is not made of titanium, just neo chrome plated so it should have no effect on the intake piping other than making it bling.
